About the Opportunity
The Town of Snow Lake is looking for a Transportation and Utilities Manager to complement our existing team in Snow Lake, Manitoba.

Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Transportation and Utility Operations within the Town.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Effectively managing and allocating Town resources.
Being accountable for department spending and budgets.
Running and overseeing the newly implemented safety and preventative maintenance programs.
Planning and attending daily meetings, outlining and delegating tasks.
Effectively leading and mentoring all Utility, Public Works and Recreation personnel.
In order to qualify for this role, you will need previous experience in a leadership position, specifically in the area of supervising and managing staff.

The ideal candidate will also possess:
Experience dealing with budgets and delivering projects on time.
A demonstrated ability to establish and handle shifting priorities.
Strong, creative problem-solving skills.
The ability to discover and adapt to new technology and implement this into the workplace.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with both the public and staff in a professional manner.
A class 3A Driver's License.
A Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate.
Level 2 Water and Waste Water Certificates.
Please note that preference will be given to applicants with the above-noted skills, but the Town is also willing to invest in training for a suitable candidate who would be willing to grow with the organization.
