The Corporate Contract Specialist plans and establishes the ministry contract business practices and policies in order to ensure consistency across programs and compliance with government policy.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Degree or diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field (e.g. Law, Accounting) and a minimum of three (3) years’ of recent experience working with contracts for services and applying contract policy; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered such as accreditation/registration in the Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) program from a recognized professional association and five (5) or more years recent related experience working with contracts for services and applying contract policy.

Three (3) or more years of recent experience managing the full procurement life cycle including planning, negotiation, award, contract management, evaluation and close-out.
One (1) year of experience managing projects from inception to conclusion.
Two (2) or more years of recent experience planning, prioritizing and coordinating complex and concurrent activities to meet deadlines in an environment of constant change.
Experience or training related to supervising staff. Preference may be given to applicants with two or more years of experience as a supervisor or team lead.
Experience in developing and delivering training to audiences of various sizes.
Training and experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor or team lead.
Experience with contracting in the Provincial government.
Completion of the government Procurement and Contract Management Program.
