Job Title: Jr. Copywriter/Maker
Reports To: Associate Creative Director
The Jr. Copywriter/Maker is responsible for creative writing/ad copy for collateral material, environmental graphics, online banners, search terms, direct mail, email, web sites, print ads and outdoor. This person will also be expected to ideate on all medias (Social, Web content, etc.) The Jr. Copywriter will concept on projects for a luxury automotive account working with highly qualified market people and supervised by an award-winning creative director. Ideal candidate will have to be able to conceptualize and brainstorm with staff. This should be an idea person in addition to knowing their craft.
Copywriting for digital and social – specifically, but not limited to, online banner ads, mobile ads, social media apps/ad units, web site design, brochures/direct mail pieces, email campaigns, POS material.
Concept for both print/online/broadcast ideas, as needed, and in support of integrated campaigns.
Verbal/written representation of creative concepts and information at the highest standard
Works very closely with Jr. Art Director/Maker partner to ensure copy is fit to layout and concept. Collaborates with Jr. Art Director/Maker on new ideas and helps sell the idea to ACD/CD and to other team members.
Understands and follows the Spark44 production process carefully.
A partner on a daily basis with Jr. Art Director/Maker to ensure layouts incorporate the right copy, and is accurate to specifications.
All assets are filed in appropriate file servers and are easily accessible to other team mates.
Provides status updates, on a regular basis, to ACD and respective Project Managers.
Proven ability to create copy for a variety of audiences
1 – 2 years of copywriting experience creative or digital agencies.
An appreciation for the relationship between textual and visual elements.
Strong copyediting and proofing skills.
Attention to small details in both copy decks and designs.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines, often while working independently.
Ability to communicate with both internal teams and clients.
Fluency in English. French reading and comprehension is a bonus for this job
Automotive or luxury brands experience is a plus.
