You may be early in your career and ready to jump start in the fast-paced world of software sales or you may be looking to pivot your career into tech sales. You have been thinking about a career in tech sales but you're not sure how to make the leap. You identify as female are have a passion for growing your career in sales. If this sounds like you - The Women in Tech Sales Bootcamp Fall 2019 might be a great place to start!
We're recruiting and accepting up to 25 students - women who are new grads or looking to pivot into tech sales - for our next bootcamp cohort happening Oct. 21-25th in downtown Toronto. The bootcamp training will be followed by the largest Women in Tech Sales Career Fest in North America held at MaRS Discovery Centre on Oct. 25th. Last May we successfully trained 20 students and registered over 300 job seekers for Women in Tech Sales. 70% of participating bootcamp students received multiple offers and we've opened up more employer participation packages to accommodate demand for bootcamp graduates and job seekers.
What will you learn at Bootcamp?
You will be trained on the tech software sales playbook. Bootcamp participants will learn the art and science of tech sales including but not limited to:
How to develop a value proposition
How to book a meeting with a prospect
How to conduct a sales meeting
Negotiating and closing deals
How to prepare for an interview and get hired
Each day you will be training at a different prospective employer location - companies that are passionate about building diverse teams and hiring and retaining more women in sales. During these sessions you will have the opportunity to learn more about the employers and their company culture. The week ends with a networking session, speed interviewing with potential employers and a public job fair held at MaRS Discovery Centre Oct. 25th.
What's the criteria to apply to the Bootcamp?
Seats are limited and your application must be accepted to attend the Bootcamp program.
We're looking for some of the following:
An ideal combination of education and work experience. Every job you had while in- and out of- school has been in sales or customer service.
A passion for tech and sales. You don't have to be technical to be in tech sales but you do need to be passionate about your craft or building your craft, curious, a fast learner and driven.
Empathy and great listening skills. Sales has changed. Great sales people are good listeners, they own their clients problems and work tirelessly to solve them.
Analytical and process oriented. You are data driven and numbers focused.
You are available EVERY DAY between Oct. 21st - Oct. 25th from 9-4pm downtown Toronto
