Business Analyst Summer Student (Real Estate) 4 months
1 temporary full-time position for 4 months, commencing in May 2019, intended specifically for students currently attending a business or related post-secondary degree program and returning to school full-time in Fall 2019.
The Real Estate Branch combines real estate and land development expertise to create synergies across a diverse portfolio: we own, lease, maintain and operate the City's inventory of real property (land, buildings and facilities). Our Branch provides expert real estate services to the corporation and integrates multiple interests so that Council can achieve its vision.
Working in collaboration with the Business Strategy and Operations team, as the Business Analyst Summer Student, you will build your communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to support Branch business planning, performance reporting and process mapping/improvements.
Support the Strategic Coordinator and Business Strategy and Operations team to:
Gather and develop data for the Branch through measures and metrics
Document and update branch processes and assist in the implementation of process improvement projects
Assist with the creation and editing of branch communications, reports and presentations
Assist with the implementation and progress tracking of Employee Engagement Plans and Branch Work Plans
Other related duties as required

Currently attending and returning full-time in Fall 2019 to a business or related post-secondary degree program
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships
Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis with proven attention to detail
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of a supervisor
Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps

This position may be partially funded through the Alberta Government Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP). $19.749 - $25.135 (Hourly)
