Mosaic North America is a Sales/Merchandising and Experiential Marketing Solutions agency that utilizes our considerable expertise, proven best practices and leading-edge technology to execute brand relevant selling, merchandising and event marketing programs across all retail channels and business-to-business.

The primary focus for the incumbent will be to provide General Ledger support the Finance team with supplementary project-based activities. You are driven to produce results in a timely and effective manner, and you possess strong attention to detail and insist on accuracy. This role will be part of the GL team, working in concert with other Finance and operational stakeholders (Project Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable) and will report to the Finance Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare project journal entries for payroll upload
Allocate company expenses based on payroll, programs and other metrics
Manage reconciliation of balance sheet and payroll accounts; prepare analysis of accounts as required. Ensure reconciliations are accurate and account balances are reasonable
Assist with timely preparation of quarterly review affidavit
Work with payroll and other departments to cross-charge expenses and maintain accurate records
Be a first point of contact for GL related information, and a backup person for the team
Assist with commodity tax audits and compilation of data for Corporate tax returns
Assist with technical accounting and tax research
Assist with additional tasks and projects as required
Mentor junior members of the General Ledger team
Enhance accuracy and efficiency of current processes

Qualifications:
Takes accountability and ownership of work
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Superior time management skills with ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
Excellent quantitative analytical skills. Understand the purpose of processes and reconciliations
Exceptional adaptability and problem-solving ability
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Previous experience with an ERP system is an asset
Knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset
CPA Designation in progress is desirable

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Business and two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must have good problem-solving abilities and must have strong attention to detail
Must have strong leadership abilities, accounting information systems expertise and analytical skills
Must be strong team player
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
