The individual is expected to identify, develop and close new business opportunities within the account with emphasis on positioning Juniper’s Vision, Strategy, Business Value, Solutions and Network Architecture alternatives.
Meet and/or exceed predetermined sales and services quota and key strategic objectives while operating within Juniper’s guidelines. Develop and/or expand relationships with customer's Executives and at multiple levels across Technology, IT, Engineering, Architecture, and Planning to build and close a pipeline of business across drive Juniper’s primary solutions and technology focus areas (including Data center, Routing, Switching, and Security). Work closely with Sales Leadership and collaborate with Systems Engineering counterpart and cross functional internal JNPR organizations to present and leverage a customer centric vision of Juniper's client engagement model that will drive sales with a high degree of customer satisfaction. Develop and implement an account plan consistent with these objectives, and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to track progress toward shared goals, and to review customer issues, challenges, and success factors.
Must have the ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and a strong team player. Successful experience in driving a technical sales agenda with key customer organizations such as Technology & Strategy, Network Planning, and Engineering is essential. Must have experience in developing creative sales strategies, account plans, preparing proposals, and presenting network solutions. Must have excellent verbal and written and presentation skills, experience preparing for and responding to complex RFI and RFP processes and a demonstrated ability to multi-task on multiple sales campaigns at once. Ability to travel is important.

BS/BA or equivalent, 10 plus years proven successful sales experience exceeding targeted objectives in areas including Network and Data Center architectures and traditional as well as evolving IP / Network Security solutions environments, Data Center solutions including but not limited to high end servers, Storage, Data Warehouse and switching architectures. Juniper sales or technical certifications would also be a significant plus.
