What is the opportunity?

RBC’s Employee Listening Strategy is an integrated approach to understanding the employee experience. It is purposefully designed to involve employees, harness their ideas and feedback, and respond in order to deliver the organisation's mission and objectives. To help achieve our goals, we are partnering with Medallia, to contribute to our understanding of the voice-of-employee so that we can continually transform and improve the employee experience.

As the Senior Manager, Listening & Insight Research, you will leverage your expertise and understanding of Medallia’s platform and enable us to optimize employee listening and enable the organization. You’ll help us navigate the overall implementation of Medallia through a deep knowledge and understanding of the capabilities of the vendor technology. You will also assist in the creation of design question banks, sampling strategies, crafting research approaches, and conducting applied employee experience research on behalf of Human Resources. Utilizing targeted, trended and always-on engagement-based research strategies you will guide RBC so that we can continually deliver employee insight and enable business action.

What will you do?

Leverage your experience in eX Listening technology to optimize RBC’s implementation and execution of the enterprise voice of employee listening ecosystem
Resident SME on quantitative research about gathering employee needs, preferences and perspectives
Be a super-user/advisor and train-the-trainer internally on how to leverage Medallia’s Employee Experience solution along with define the training and support strategy across a variety of users
Design evaluation methods for collecting research data (e.g. surveys, questionnaires, and opinion polls)
Conduct surveys on engagement, training, onboarding, benefits, and off-boarding
Analyze data using vendor solutions and available statistical software
Collaborate with data scientists to analyze findings
Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, charts, infographics, and other visual aids to present listening research findings
Deliver proactive research insights to the business that provide perspectives on new innovative approaches and opportunities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
Experience in delivering and implementing employee experience listening using a technology platform
Ability to lead and conduct complex research projects, including development of research design, collection of data, performing data analysis, interpretation of results, communicating findings, and the development of strategic recommendations.
Superior quantitative analytical skills using a variety of statistical and research measurement techniques
Strategically-minded in solving HR problems, able to draw meaningful conclusions from information to deliver compelling insights and solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
Strong communication (both written and verbal), data visualization, and storytelling skills; ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of areas and at various levels
Experience with statistical software (any of SPSS, SAS, R, Python and DataIKU)

Nice-to-haves:
Hands-on experience implementing Medallia to enable diverse listening modes for Employee Experience research and analytics
Experience with People and/or Human Resources datasets
