Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Procurement & Supply Planning, this role is responsible for working with our vendors to ensure the right product is available, at the right time, in the right place. The scope of the role encompasses the following broad functions: forecasting, demand / supply planning, inventory management, market dynamics, analytical modeling, reporting and decision support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledgeable in supply chain and industry best practices
Track market access plan and execute timely and efficient product launches in each province
Develop and execute on strategies to enhance generic utilization at store level for both SDM and Loblaw pharmacies.
Responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply, track & analyse daily Service Levels, back order release, following up with manufacturers as required to seek resolution
Manage forecasts and planning for new and existing molecules on an on-going basis factoring in industry supply changes, generic penetration and provincial formulary coverage
Create and identify risks and opportunities through analysis of external marketing data
Assist in the coordination of regular supply planning meetings with vendors
Manages store support tickets, ensuring timely resolution
Identify, recommend and then implement strategies to drive efficiencies and mitigate risk throughout the supply chain.
Plan and execute timely and efficient Sanis launches. Assist to build market access plan, apply PCPA, and provide pricing support to Sanis regulation team.
Reviews discrepancy reports between key systems
Responsible for the development and distribution of key reports on a timely basis.
Participate on project teams as required.
Requires a University degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
Expert level with Excel, VBA, Access, SQL (and other relational databases)
Experienced in SAP
Ability to set and prioritize work amid competing demands
Strong problem-solving skills
Detail oriented, diplomatic team player with a proactive results orientation
Aadvanced business analysis skill, finance or planning experience, ideally in the retail pharmacy industry
2 – 5 years previous experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry (pharmaceutical and/or supply chain management experience an asset)
