Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Planner will work with the onsite client in a variety of duties and responsibilities outlined below. The client utilizes JFSL as the core maintenance contractor at the facility but also works with additional onsite contractors.

Core Responsibilities
Maintain and improve maintenance planning and scheduling process in SAP work order system
Detailed planning, scheduling and coordination of ongoing maintenance jobs and projects needed to conduct the relevant repair, preventative and predictive activities of the facility and its equipment
Planning, scheduling and coordination of JFSL work as well as other onsite contractors
Collaborate with supervisors to schedule manpower and resources
Maintains equipment information and repair files
Assist and backup Stores duties for purchasing of all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work
Assist with developing applicable maintenance procedures and job hazard analysis process
Work in a team setting with Maintenance and Operations personnel in the planning process
Participate in the plant safety, health and environmental programs


Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Post secondary education and/or a technical trade
Minimum 5 years experience as a maintenance planner or coordinator.
Knowledge of maintenance techniques and best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, leadership and decision making skills.
Willing to support and work in a team environment.
Safety conscious individual who understands and demonstrates safe work practices.

Strong computer skills including:
SAP Maintenance Process
Microsoft Office
Primavera 6 (desirable)
