We are searching for a Certified Financial Planner to build and develop our financial planning division of Ian Murray Insurance and Financial Services.

Our office currently has over 1,500 households that do business with us through our home, auto and business insurance division, we are looking for a passionate individual to help those households grow their wealth and protect their lifestyle through comprehensive financial plans. On top of these existing households, we also have over 2,000 additional leads and continual warm pivots from our home and auto insurance division.
We need your help to grow our office in, and help more clients build their wealth, achieve their dreams and reach financial freedom!
Certified Financial Planner designation
Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
Proven Track record of written financial plans
Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
Proactive in problem-solving
Ability to multi-task
Ability to make presentations to potential customers
Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
The ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Proficient skill with computer applications including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses.
You are required to have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

Nice to have:
General Insurance license
A Life license is an asset.
Insurance industry experience.
Financial Service Sales Experience
Possess in-depth knowledge of auto and property insurance products and strong underwriting skills.
French, German and/or Spanish-speaking would be an asset.
What to expect:
The training period will take place in Kingsville, Ontario at our established office.
Training may require travel to London or Aurora for product training, with expenses and accommodations paid for
The training period will conclude in between 1 - 3 months from start date depending on experience.
After the training period has concluded the successful candidate will become responsible for:
Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services for financial planning
Follow up on Online leads and inbound calls
Cold call, and door to door marketing in targeted neighbourhoods in Essex County and Windsor for planning services
Cold call and cold walk into local small business establishments in targeted Kingsville, Windsor and Essex County areas and discuss planning services
Create, advertise and execute seminars
After Training the successful candidate will have 3 months to work up to sales goals
Annual Goals - $4,500,000 in new AUM per year and $70,000 in new Life and/or living benefit premium per year.
Total Compensation $80,000 - $200,000
Salary $50,000-$80,000 (depending on experience)
