About the Opportunity:
The Senior System Administrator reports directly to the Director, IT and is responsible for all aspects of the IT Operations including IT infrastructure, communication, backup, security systems and disaster recovery. You will mentor the junior admins of the team on infrastructure and IT related issues, and directly architect and plan IT projects. You will ensure all of your work is conducted in a professional and efficient manner in compliance with Atira’s policies, all regulatory requirements, and within the mission, vision, values and philosophy of our parent Society.

About You:
You hold a Post-secondary degree, certificate or diploma in Computer Science, or in a similar field.
You will ideally have certifications relating to infrastructure – e.g. MCSE, Cisco (or others), IT project management.
You have a minimum of five – ten years’ experience in progressively more senior roles. You are proficient in scripting languages (e.g. powershell, python, bash, node, etc.- at least one of).
You will have a well-rounded tech background with demonstrable experience with:
Windows Active Directory migration projects, provisioning domain controllers, migrating services, FSMO roles, recovering from disasters
Office 365 migration project experience
Security hardening and an awareness on cybersecurity
On Prem to Cloud services migrations
Understanding of 'infrastructure as code';
Understanding of enterprise infrastructure design + configuration experience
Managing and/or mentoring a small team
Azure/ AWS experience
Network configuration using the CLI
