Our members include wholesalers, manufacturers, contractors, and other professionals with an interest in this industry and improving its impact on the environment.

We’re looking for talented and committed Senior Accountant to join our team at HRAI and deliver a high level of satisfaction to staff, the management team as well as our members and customers. We hope this search ends with you.

The Role:
Working with our other Accounting staff you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting for 2 companies, HRAI and Refrigerant Management Canada (

That includes, but not limited to:
Full processing of Account Payable and Account Receivable, Fixed Assets and deprecation, Inventory, Bank and other Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Month end closing processes and journal entries including revenue and expense allocations, Prepaids and Investments
Monthly Financial Statement preparation
Regular Balance Sheet reporting including Program and Reserve Fund reporting as well as Revenue and Expense analysis
Assist with Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Budgets
Compliance with regulatory agencies filings and government remittances
Process electronic banking requirements
Assist in the annual Audit of both companies

Salary for this FT permanent position will be between $60,000 and $65,000 depending on your experience. We offer: 3 weeks vacation, a 35 hour work week, paid benefits, flexible hours, a summer schedule, eligibility to join our RRSP plan after 2 years, and annual funding for continued development of our staff; for the right candidate a future opportunity for advancement into an Accounting Supervisory role.

Here’s our list of must-haves:
Minimum of 5+ years of Canadian experience in a comparable Accounting role
Degree or diploma in Accounting and or Business
Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and comfortable using MS Word and MS Outlook
Currently working towards the CPA accounting designation
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Anything on this list would be considered an asset:
Experience using SAGE 300
Experience working in an Association or Not-for-Profit environment
