A Day in the life of a Marine Coordinator / Fumigation Inspector at SGS Canada:

  • Performing container fumigations, pre-shipment and quarantine
  • Generating documents for vessel and quarantined container fumigations
  • Accomplish inspection requirements according to the scope of job
  • Establish constant communication with operations
  • Delivers samples to laboratory for analysis

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a laboratory or Agricultural setting is an asset
  • Vessel fumigation license or experience working on vessels considered an asset
  • Must obtain a valid training and licenses in the following: Pesticide Applicator Licence, Confined Space Training Level 1, First Aid Level 1, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • Extended hours and shift work may be required from time-to-time.
