Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Flight Operations, the Finance Manager is accountable for the day to day operations of the finance function, including financial analytics & reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will be comfortable completing all tasks within an organization which values customer service, safety and strong teamwork. This is a hands-on role with limited underlying support, as such requires an individual that is self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

· Manage the day to day of all finance related activities

· Develop, and implement finance and accounting related policies and programs in alignment with long term organizational goals

· Manage month-end closing processes, including review of accounting entries for proper cost allocation

· Manage and coordinate all fiscal reporting activities, including financial statements as well as organizational and contract budgets

· In co-ordination with the General Manager, develop and evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives

· Manage all regulatory filings including, but not limited to, GST, PST and Statistics Canada survey completion

· Work with the management team to manage the overall budget process

· Provide oversight for the Accounting Clerk

· Other duties as assigned

Skills

· Minimum 5-7 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 2 years in industry experience in a Finance or Accounting Management role

· Strong problem solving and creative skills

· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

· Strong hands-on experience with mid-size ERP platforms (ie. Sage 300, MS Dynamics, etc.)

· Excel knowledge with experience in producing meaningful financial reports and metrics to operational management

· Basic corporate tax knowledge

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize demands and manage expectations

Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field

· Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA) is required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
