Maintain financial reporting including data entry into the accounting program, of deposits and cheques, reconciling of bank accounts and drafting monthly Cash Flow reports

  • Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors, through the Treasurer
  • Process invoices and track any accounts receivable
  • Process, prepare and take to the bank all deposits
  • Ensure that all donations are receipted promptly and that donors are thanked appropriately
  • Responsible for the Sage 50 Pro Accounting database and Donation software including maintenance and upgrading of systems and generation of reports, as required
  • Prepare and distribute payroll, GST, donor receipt, related documents
  • Liaise with auditors to prepare annual financial statements

Fundraising

Develop an annual fundraising plan in collaboration with Public Relations and Fundraising Coordinator & Director of Operations

  • Manage, attend and actively participate in special events, with a focus on financial support (floats and money counts) throughout the year
  • Provide post-event evaluation including final budget, recommendations, lessons learned and action items in collaboration with Public Relations and Fundraising Coordinator & Director of Operations
  • Develop and build relationships with community partners and businesses for in Memorium program in collaboration with Public Relations and Fundraising Coordinator
  • Must be bondable and current criminal record check
  • Must have references

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $39,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • Charity Act: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Payroll and accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
