Your role

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Operations, the Senior Analyst provides support to procurement systems users and processes, process owner systems management, configuration, and training to effectively maintain CBC’s sourcing, contract, and procurement platforms.
He participates or leads process review and reengineering activities including documenting the processes and procedures. This role administers the system various activities such as hands-on maintenance of system master data and configuration.
The position supports the overall departmental reporting and KPIs, and the strategic sourcing process with analytical and supplier needs analysis for assigned categories to reduce cost for CBC.

This role is based in Toronto; you must be able to work proficiently in English and you must also be flexible and willing to travel, primarily between Toronto and Montreal (around 15% of time).

Main responsibilities:
Collaborate and work closely with procurement business partners to identify and close gaps in terms of systems workflows, data collection and processing.
Create and maintain data governance model for supply and procurement department. Ensure availability and consistency of procurement information, segregating and customizing to different business variables and needs.
Perform data collection from primary or secondary data sources; automate report generation process. Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
Develop and Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports on CBC’s procurement application, or other, to be utilized by management or other. Utilizes reports to provide key performance indicator (KPI) metrics and other reporting as needed by the business.
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns; present findings and recommendations as needed.
Participates or leads process review and reengineering activities concerning sourcing, procurement and Source-To-procure (S2P) while ensuring processes are documented. Serves as the technical expert regarding all procurement systems.
Maintain product specifications and pricing within defined products and suppliers, deliver on-going support, implementation and development of CBC’s Source-To-procure (S2P) application and other procurement and sourcing platforms.
Track spend and savings, including continuous improvement programs and supplier performance measurements.
Prepare studies and develop proposals and recommendations for improvements to the supply management processes, as required, and makes presentations to management.
Actively works to enhance knowledge of procurement related system, processes and best practices.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and actively plays a role in driving efficiency.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance or an IT discipline.
Five (5) or more years’ experience within a supply chain or procurement environment, specifically using enterprise procurement system applications.
Data analysis skills, experience working with business intelligence tools and developing executive reports and presentations. Knowledge of tools such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI or Spotfire is an asset.
Outstanding MS Excel knowledge: pivot-tables, power-pivot, capacity to generate macros and perform cross DB analysis. Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
Capacity to develop industry and market benchmarking, project financial evaluation, cost assessments, price modeling and analysis scenarios.
Good understanding of the strategic sourcing process, strong process-documentation skills and ability to develop collaborative workflows.
Capable of challenging the conventional wisdom: open-minded, innovative, self-confident and resilient. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
Knowledge of procurement best practices and general interdependencies in finance and business, such as account payables and contract management.
Public procurement experience is an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset.
