The impact you’ll make
As a Senior Manager, Audience Platform, you will impact our business by enabling the marketing teams to deliver best in class personalized experiences at scale across all platforms and all channels to the right audiences. Your mandate will be to grow and evolve the audience practice across different streams and parts of the organization, lead data-driven audience segmentation and audience strategies to drive effective targeting across all digital media channels as well as creating operational efficiencies by automating our data pipelines.
You will work cross-functionally with peers in demand generation, digital messaging, web analytics, data science, experimentation as well as with our technology teams on various data and technology projects to advance our audience targeting strategy, analytics capabilities and depth of audience insights. You have strong leadership skills and enjoy coaching, mentoring and developing individual contributors. We’re looking to turn our enviable wealth of data into actionable insights and meaningful recommendations that drive growth and improve engagement across all our lines of business, and a customer-focused mindset is a must-have.
What you will do
Provide thought leadership on the use of audience data and insights, working with stakeholders across the business to determine opportunities for data driven personalization strategies across prospecting, retention and re-engagement to directly deliver improvements in media performance and overall experience on our owned and operated digital properties
Support the personalization and experimentation team as a subject matter expert for segmentation capabilities leveraging our 1st party data (online and offline) as well as audience enablement in the different tools within our tech stack
Educate internal teams on current capabilities and what’s to come as well as owning the roadmap for this workstream within the Marketing Intelligence team
Work with our internal data science team on leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning models to bring our segmentation and audience targeting to the next level, but also on automating data pipelines to the activation end points
Mentor and coach the audience segmentation managers within your team to effectively deliver audience targeting capabilities and insights to our internal stakeholders across Loblaw Digital and Loblaw Media
Create an overall blueprint and vision for feeding the DMP the data it needs by leading the on-boarding of LCL’s data sources, managing the activation channels it supports, and helping deliver results to others in the organization
Maintain expertise in continuously evolving digital audience and data space and help educate other groups across the enterprise and stay up-to-date with industry trends and providing recommendations for testing into new and emerging technologies, vendors and trends.
Collaborate actively with the various data owners across the organization, the legal counsel, privacy and security committee to review and approve our strategic initiatives and use cases and ensure best practices for handling customer data, protecting data sets integrity and staying compliant
Be an advocate for the Marketing Intelligence team within the organization by presenting and socializing the current and new capabilities being built and how they can unlock growth opportunities for different functions within the organizatio

6+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, digital advertising operations, ad tech, advertising or customer analytics
Solid understanding of digital marketing campaigns execution, platforms and the adtech/martech ecosystem
Hands-on experience with Data Management Platforms (preferably Adobe Audience Manager DMP) to create segments, push audiences live and prepare audience analysis
Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics (Omniture) as well as a/b testing tools (e.g. Adobe Target) and CMS platforms
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively work with multiple levels of the organization
Proven ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations, POV statements, strategic and operational recommendations to internal stakeholders
Exceptional problem solving, and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate findings to all levels throughout the organization
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is a big plus!
