The Maintenance Labourer will be responsible for performing manufacturing maintenance. The Maintenance Labourer is also responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. Additional duties include performing general cleanup of manufacturing area, performing routine maintenance activities and notifying management of need for repairs.

Perform general clean up manufacturing areas.
Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery.
Follow a daily maintenance and repair schedule.
Perform regular property inspections of manufacturing, common areas, building exteriors, and landscape.
Keep accurate records maintenance performed.
Maintain an inventory of all equipment, tools and machinery.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment, structures and grounds on the property.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes.
Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
Responsible for proper inventory of materials and supplies.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
Drive vehicles, as required.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
1 years of Maintenance experience.
Valid Driver's Licence.
Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
Level 1 Millwright, Building Trades certificate or interest in pursuing an apprenticeship.
First Aid certification considered an asset.
Understanding and ability to maintain a safe work environment;
Ability to work independently or with others to achieve a common goal;
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter – follow direction with minimal supervision;

Candidates must be available for either the day shift (Monday-Friday, 5 am - 1:30 pm) or afternoon shift (Monday-Thursday, 1 pm - 11:30 pm).
Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels.
Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed.
