The Radisson Hotel and Convention Centre has an opening for Maintenance Technician.
Position: Maintenance Technician / Full Time and Part-time
Minimum Two years of general maintenance experience required. Hospitality maintenance experience will be added asset.
-Changing Light Bulbs/Minor Carpentery, Fixing Wallpaper and Handy man
-Operate / Monitor and maintenance of all building mechanical /Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing/Guest room & Public Area.
-Receive & complete Guest and associate requests within a standard period of time and Housekeeping requests
-Keep the parking lot / exterior of the hotel property clean and tidy.
-Exterior fire exit/entrances / emergency exits/ side walk/stair and steps to basement area/ steps to bus holt clean snow and apply snow melt/salt.
-Perform basic repairs & maintenance of heating / Cooling systems, Ventilation systems and PTAC (HVAC).
-Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs of mechanical system/Electrical system/ HVAC system/Plumbing/Appliances.
-Maintenance of furniture, equipment and supplies
-Repair, build room walls / drywall / framing/ painting where necessary.
-Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annually and annually preventative maintenance of equipment
-Perform guest room / public area, meeting room preventative maintenance as per the program.
-Perform weekly/monthly Fire emergency system / extinguishers/ hose cabinet inspection
-Perform regular maintenance of interior and exterior lighting.
-Keep records of daily maintenance logs / Pool maintenance & water chemistry logs / Equipment operational records etc.
-Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
-Electrical / Mechanical/Plumbing & Gas / HVAC trade experience is an asset.
-Technical college training in Building maintenance systems.
-Minimum two years of hospitality / building maintenance experience.
-Customer service experience
-Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Writing)
-Trade certificates would be an asset.
-First Aid / WHIMS/Ladder Training, work on height training an asset.
-Day, Evening, Night, Weekend and Holidays required
-Move, Lift, Carry, Push, Pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
-Stand,sit or walk for an extended period of time.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
-Working knowledge /experience of Basic electrical / Mechanical/HVAC/plumbing / Drywalling/ Painting etc.
-Preventative maintenance of guest rooms / public area and equipment
-Knowledge of Building equipment / Structure/etc.
-Swimming Pool and SPA maintenance and water chemistry testing.
-Workplace health & safety training / procedures.
-Domestic hot & cold water system and Boiler operation
-MAU / RTU /PTAC maintenance (HVAC systems)
-Using power Tools / Hand Tools.
-Waste & Recycle Procedures.
-MSDS / Health & Safety /Ladder Training / Safe Lifting and handling
-Excellent Customer service experience
