We are looking for experienced line/prep cooks at our 50th St, & Windermere locations.

  • Have clear understanding of food preparation and service techniques (e.g. portion control, measuring ingredients, operating kitchen equipment etc.)
  • Must be able to work with a tan-door oven
  • Ability to have complete understanding of the menu
  • Be able to follow recipes and sanitation requirements
  • Have ability to be cross-trained in all areas of kitchen
  • Understanding of food handling procedures and preparation requirements, as well as workplace safety requirements, hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, execute dishes for guests in a timely manner, process strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Must be able to work in a team,, ability to speak clearly, and listen attentively to management
  • Must be able to work in a team, ability to speak clearly, and listen attentively to management
  • Previous kitchen experience & valid food safe certificate considered an asset
  • Knowledge and background about Indian Cuisine is considered an asset
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Oversee kitchen operations
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
