The City of Brooks requires a Temporary Recreation Customer Service Representative (CSR) Team Lead in its Recreation Department operating out of JBS Canada Centre, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. This is a Temporary Union position starting as soon as possible until February 21, 2020. Job Details & Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing customer service to patrons in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Recreation CSR Team Lead provides clerical and receptionist services in the Recreation Department and is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the front office. This position is also expected to provide administrative support for the Supervisor of Recreation Services on a daily basis, as well as provide guidance to other part-time Customer Service Representatives.
Completion of a High School Diploma.
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of cash handling and computer skills experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Excellent public relations, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and requires attention-to-detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to show initiative.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding department and municipal matters.
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
Compensation & Benefits:
The starting wage rate for this position is $21.43 per hour. The successful candidate will also receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during their term of employment.
A clean criminal records check and drivers abstract will be required before an offer of employment is presented to the successful applicant.
