JOB PURPOSE

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving increased sales pipeline through lead generation campaign follow-up activities, and outbound calling and research. The BDR will also assist with the qualification of leads and providing sales support assistance to the account executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting cold calls and follow-up calls, alongside social and email, to qualify leads
  • Identify and research target accounts and decision makers
  • Drive attendance to events and webcasts and follow up with those who attend/register
  • Inbound lead qualification (web, campaign, events, conferences, etc.)
  • Ensure activities are accurately recorded and tracked and accurate in Salesforce
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Campaign Manager on implementation of a scalable lead generation engine to support field sales team
EDUCATION & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slack, GSuite an asset
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slack, GSuite an asset
  • Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in enterprise SaaS solution sales
  • Outbound business-to-business phone marketing or sales experience
  • Interest or experience in the following industries: tech (SaaS), software, CPG, supply chain, logistics
  • Experience working in a sales support capacity to drive greater prospect engagement
  • Proven track record of results
  • Strong sales acumen, with experience in an inbound or outbound cold calling environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills (planning & organizing)
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work collaboratively and deliver results
  • Willing to learn a new industry and product category
