Job Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Group Controller, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for controlling and monitoring the accounting activities of his business unit. He will also be responsible for monitoring accounting information related to the business objectives of his plant and ensuring the harmonization and integration of financial results within his group. He will also be called upon to play an active role in supporting and analysing the plant's operating decisions. He will work closely with the plant manager.

Business Objectives Alignment

Serve as a financial specialist and contribute to the unit’s business development, while ensuring coordination in keeping with the Group’s strategic plan

Operational Excellence

Determine and interpret the relationship between financial results and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities

Analyze operational and financial performance indicators to contribute to the unit’s decisions

Maximize use of the unit’s working capital

Help the unit’s management team implement and monitor business processes (including the budget process, analyses, and communication of internal and external financial information)

Implement financial, sales, administrative and accounting management best practices that apply to the unit

Plan and lead the reengineering of the Group’s business processes in the unit

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Desired experience

7-10 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing plant

Excellent knowledge of Office suite;

Excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written

Knowledge of SAP (major asset)

Hold the title of CPA
