What is the opportunity?

RBC Portfolio Management & Credit Strategies (PM&CS) is hiring a Manager, Retail Cards Acquisition Credit Strategy. You will use in-depth portfolio analytics to develop credit strategies to grow the portfolio profitability in the Credit Card Acquisitions space. This includes taking it through the various phases of ideation, analysis and recommendation for approval & implementation. You will also deliver credit strategies to grow revenue, manage risk and improve client experience under current state environment as well as, helping to shape future state capabilities/innovations for PMCS.

What will you do?

Acquire, transform and summarize data using both traditional database tools and cutting edge big data technologies
Leverage data driven assumptions to model out financial outcomes of acquisition strategies
Develop compelling presentations to implement recommendations based on model results
Lead end-to-end stakeholder engagement with senior management across risk management, product, operations and other groups
Work with various teams across RBC to implement strategy changes and deliver projects
Measure true outcomes against expectations, learn from findings and recommend improvements to strategies and models
Ensure the successful implementation and ongoing integrity of strategies and decision rules within appropriate systems

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Experience in anticipating and managing financial outcomes based on data driven modeling
Knowledge of credit principles and risk management techniques including credit scoring
Proficiency with SAS and SQL
Strong communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex technical concepts
University degree in a numeric field of study (e.g. economics, statistics, business, mathematics) demonstrating abilities for critical thinking and numerical analysis

Nice-to-have

Strong collaboration & partnering / impact and influence / organizational awareness skills
Ability to work in a team and matrixed environment
Proven ability to multitask and shift priorities
