Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is the province’s premier provider of lottery and gaming activities. Since 1975, OLG has provided more than $52 billion to the Province and the people of Ontario. OLG’s annual payments have helped support provincial priorities including the operation of hospitals; problem gambling prevention, treatment and research; amateur sport; and local and provincial charities. In fiscal 2018–19 alone, OLG contributed $2.47 billion in net profit to support these programs. In addition to OLG’s payments to the province, there are several direct beneficiaries of gaming proceeds, including host municipalities and Ontario First Nations. OLG operations also contribute to the economy in several other ways. In fiscal 2018-19, OLG generated more than $2.52 billion in total economic activity in Ontario.

OLG is about to enter a new chapter and bold transformation of their business. They are facing increased competition for entertainment spend, accelerated by expected changes in the gaming marketplace in Ontario. These changes include internet gaming expansion and the legalization of single-event sports wagering – developments that are attracting interest from sophisticated global competitors. To address these changes head on, OLG will place the customer at the centre of everything they do, and consistently deliver best-in-class products and experiences across more touchpoints and channels.

The Lottery business has a long history of success and customer engagement and continues to be a driver of growth and brand equity across the province. In this newly created role, the Chief Lottery & Customer Officer (CLCO) will build upon that success through new product innovation, new partnerships and channels of distribution, and modernizing customer service and operations.

The CLCO has end-to-end accountability and full P&L ownership, from strategy development to product design and delivery, supply chain management, and customer servicing and support. The role works with other business owners to develop a consistent customer experience focused on delivering the greatest value to all OLG customers, partners, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings significant P&L leadership and strategic business and commercial acumen from a consumer oriented, complex environment. Your innovative and forward-thinking mindset are complemented by strong people leadership and a highly collaborative nature. You understand channel partners, distribution, and product development and use business intelligence and predictive analytics to gain knowledge of consumers and respond to their needs. Your internal and external relationship building strengths align with your political acuity and desire to make a positive impact for the Province of Ontario.
