Job Summary

At Staples Promotional Products (SPP) we execute promotional merchandise programs (e-stores and marketing initiatives) for some of the world’s best known brands. The Account Services Program and Merchandise Administrator manages administrative tasks related to the execution of customer e-stores, and supports Account Services team members with day-to-day program tasks

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Confirms pricing with vendors for any products being carried forward in our programs from one year to the next
Sources products for small programs and initiatives as needed
Supports merchandisers with creating product presentations and copywriting as needed
Supports merchandisers with ordering, packing, shipping and returning samples
Obtains, reviews and organizes high res images
Prepares, formats and loads product copy into online interface for client e-stores
Assists in proofing and testing client e-stores; reporting advanced issues to Program Specialist and fixes minor issues as needed
Assists in prepping for client meetings (producing presentations, packing and shipping/setting-up products)
Assists in updating pricing in ERP system and prepping SKUs for discount pricing or promotions; proofing client e-stores for updates
Assists with uploading product copy into estore manager
Coordinates translations for estore and marketing materials as required
Support in proofing customer catalogues pre-print stage
Primarily a support role to the Account Services team
Must adhere to project timelines and flag risks as needed
Provides team coverage when necessary
Attends all team meetings
Other duties as assigned
Innovation and Change

Makes suggestions for process improvements
Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties

Works closely with assigned members of merchandising team to support assigned accounts
Works closely with the Program Specialists to coordinate program executions and to provide updates on timelines
Will be contacting vendors to re-confirm pricing, obtaining hi-res images and get confirmation on sample deliveries
KPIs– Key Performance Indicators

Helping the teams meet on-time program launches
Working with primarily preferred suppliers and attaining company sourcing targets
Helping to manage sample budgets effectively
Positive, forward-thinking attitude
Flexible to changing priorities and project task lists

Recommended Qualifications

Education/Experience Equivalent

Minimum: completed high school education

Preferred: post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Merchandising/Buying, Commerce or Marketing

Professional Knowledge/Experience

MS Office

Excel knowledge
