What this role is all about:
WestJet is currently seeking a Business Development Manager, WestJet Vacations, Western Canada, reporting to the Manager, Agency Sales. Bringing your strong leisure vacations background, you will represent WestJet Vacations for Western Canada. You are a natural go-getter for new business, you enjoy mining for new opportunities and the challenge of growing an existing book of business. Bringing your understanding of the Canadian Vacation Marketplace, along with a solid sales background, you consider yourself creative with fresh ideas. You are comfortable travelling approximately 80% of your time, focusing on increasing awareness, growing revenues, deepening relationships with our strategic trade partners.
What you bring to this team:
You drive to succeed - you possess a strong sales background with business development plans to drive revenues with key strategic partners
You have a proven track record of exceeding personal and team sales targets – you forecast sales, develop creative sales strategies and models and constantly evaluate their effectiveness
You are a problem solver – you uncover opportunities, anticipate customers’ needs, providing resolutions for challenges and building productive long-last relationships
You consider yourself self-motivated and driven – you leverage your CRM with different sales techniques and pipeline management
You are proactive in your approach – you research, generate, and follow through on sales leads
You possess strong presentation skills and are very comfortable public speaking
