Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer. Reporting to the Process Department Manager, this position is located in our Vancouver, BC office. This role has overall responsibility for process design and process engineering activities which will include studies through detailed design and on-site assistance to clients. The Metals & Mining office in Vancouver is our Mining Head office. We have a strong reputation in mining EPCM, project execution expertise and running studies. We have ver strong collaboration with our mining office around the globe.
The Wood Vancouver office is currently offering a hybrid working environment, with your work week split between attending the Wood Office and working from home. This situation is subject to change and is dependent on project requirements, office plans, and Wood policy changes.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide designated process engineering teams with appropriate quality and best practice in process engineering.

Prepare of designated proposal, study and project documents and deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy of information.

Deliver of process services to designated proposal, study and project teams on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget.

Develop process circuit design from analysis and interpretation of test work program results or plant data

Develop and reviewing process plant material balance, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, 3-D models, technical specifications, technical evaluations

Participate in process plant HAZOP reviews

Participate in design reviews (model reviews, ergonomics, maintainability) and managing resolution of action items

Work alongside expert colleagues from Wood’s global consulting group

Read, understand and obey the HSSE policies, arrangements, procedures and rules.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in mineral processing or metallurgy.

Ability to manage one’s own activities on or ahead of schedule and on or below budget.

Ability to deliver best practice design with emphasis on cost-effective engineering.

Ability to communicate process requirements to other members of the proposal, study or project team.

Ability to prepare and deliver oral and written presentations for study and project reports

Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
