Sales and Event Coordinator
Reports To Location- Calgary
Assistant General Manager Scheduled hours- Varied
The primary responsibility of the sales and event coordinator is to create programming, attract new clientele to the casino and increase food and beverage revenue by driving sales and events into the Meridian Central Station. This includes having a comprehensive understanding of the local market and the ability to communicate/coordinate with the operations team.
He / She will develop, manage and cultivate relationships with our players to ensure our players build a connection and loyalty to PCGC Casinos. They will communicate with players frequently and educate them on games, various events and tournaments. The sales and event coordinator will conduct market analysis/research, administer web updates, and manage social media related to Meridian and Meridian Central Station. The sales and event coordinator is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, repeat visitation and retention.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices and procedures.
- Ensure achievement of the assigned sales targets • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data, to determine departmental progress toward determined goals and objectives. • Supporting the execution of site level events and promotions. • Updating and maintaining accurate information for digital assets including but not limited to websites, emails, and social media. • Work with the operations team to coordinate and complete goals and plans to grow Food and Beverage revenue. • Follow up with and conduct calls to ensure consistent new and return traffic to the casino • Manage and cultivate relationships with patrons • Greet and provide patrons with exceptional service • Make cold calls to generate interest and increase business • Network and establish business opportunities with surrounding businesses • Invite and host patrons to company events, promotions, tournaments etc.
- Assist patrons in booking events, dinner etc. • Periodically assemble patron’s feedback in relation to the company service and products • Make recommendations to management on new market opportunities and guest feedback • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information. • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Gaming Industry Experience Is Preferred
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Business, Event management, Computer Science or a related field experience is preferred. High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience or 1-year Management experience in the field of Business Development or Sales • Strong presentation and oral/written communication skills • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, with extreme attention to detail. • Ability to lift 15Ibs of related supplies and equipment. • Excellent interpersonal skills with an energetic and upbeat personality • Knowledge of marketing analytical tools such as Google Analytics is preferred • Must be flexible and willing to workdays, evenings and weekends as per business needs
