CEFA Early Learning is looking for a permanent, full-time teacher to join our team of experienced educators! We are a Junior Kindergarten program known for our enriched curriculum, CEFA certified teachers, and innovative approach to Early Childhood Education. Our exciting program has been designed to inspire children to learn, get involved in projects, and have a wonderful school experience that they can carry with them to Elementary School and beyond.

Education, skills, and experience required:

- Completion of a college program in Early Childhood Education

- A valid Early Childhood Educator or Infant and Toddler License from the province of BC

- Previous work experience or practicums in an early childhood environment is an asset

- A Clear Criminal Record Check

- First Aid and CPR Certified

Language: Oral and written English communication skills are required

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide care and supervision for children in an all day care program

- Develop and implement daily activities that support and promote the development of children

- Prepare materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities

- Assist with children’s individual behaviors and provide guidance to enrich children’s social development

- Assist children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating, and sleeping

- Discuss progress or challenges of children with parents and other staff members

- Watch for, and remove, any safety hazards as well as maintain a cleanly environment

- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community service providers

- Attend meetings and workshops to develop and discuss new teaching methods

Compensation and Benefits:

- $2764 a month - $3100 a month

- A monthly bonus for Infant/Toddler certification ($150)

- 4% vacation pay

Job Location: 402-935 Marine Drive, North Vancouver, BC V7P 1S3

Hours of work: 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday
