Major Purpose
All three of the new BSA roles will be reporting to the Senior Business Systems Analyst, (IT), the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for organizing and managing the implementation, enhancements and maintenance of business information systems (primarily focused on Microsoft CRM environments) in support of strategic FCM objectives. Works closely with various departments and external consultants to assess and document business/end-user requirements, research and recommend solutions, develop technical specifications and oversee the development, organize end-users into project teams, integration and implementation of new and existing technical solutions across the organization, with a specific focus on business and knowledge information systems. Manages tasks and priorities of external consultants, provides guidance and direction, and makes timely recommendations regarding solutions, problem resolution and improvements to FCM’s existing systems and processes.

We currently have three new Business Systems Analyst roles open:

BSA: Data Warehouse
BSA: Document management and “Solution Explorer”
BSA: Productivity and Corporate Applications
Knowledge and Experience
BSA Data Warehouse
Data organization skills setting up data dictionary, data labelling, documentation of it.
Database (RDBMS) management skills: MS SQL, Oracle, etc.
Data warehouse implementations based on feed from multiple source systems.
Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) utilities to update data from the source system into the Data Warehouse.
Experience with forms-based tool that can feed into the data warehouse.
Experience with reporting tools like Cognos or MS PowerBI.
Experience with documenting business processes and requirements based on interviewing subject matter experts and observation.
An undergraduate degree from a recognized higher education facility in Canada or abroad with 5-7 years of related (or industry) experience.
BSA Document management and “Solution Explorer”
Experience implementing ECM (Enterprise Content management systems) like OpenText, Drupal, Hyland Onbase, EMC Documentum, etc.
Good understanding of the document lifecycle in a typical organization.
Experience with implementing Document retention policy.
Experience with Knowledge and eLearning systems.
Experience with Content publishing and consuming through portal technology aka “digital marketplace”.
Experience deploying collaboration tools based on Office 365 and Sharepoint online and training users.
Experience with documenting business processes and requirements based on interviewing subject matter experts and observation.
An undergraduate degree from a recognized higher education facility in Canada or abroad with 7-10 years of related (or industry) experience.
BSA Productivity and Corporate Applications
Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and higher
Experience deploying collaboration tools based on Office 365 and Sharepoint online and training users.
Experience with documenting business processes and requirements based on interviewing subject matter experts and observation.
An undergraduate degree from a recognized higher education facility in Canada or abroad with 5-7 years of related (or industry) experience.
Shared Responsibilities
Primary focus will be to support (business systems analysis, system adjustments, reporting, training) a multi-year initiative to migrate to Microsoft CRM 2016;
Works closely with various staff and departments to provide insightful analysis, understand objectives, propose and implement I.S. solutions to meet business objectives across the organization;
Solicits and documents business, system and functional requirements, use cases and test cases related to strategic I.S. projects;
Oversees the development, testing and maintenance of solutions to satisfy business, functional and reporting requirements and specifications of FCM Management and users across various departments within FCM;
Identifies training requirements, creates training curriculum and delivers regular in-house user training to FCM staff; Coordinates the development, or customization of user support manuals;
Diagnoses and resolves or escalates any technical issues with application functionality, including the coordination of internal I.S. resources, and outside consultants where required;
Manages and oversees external consultants’ tasks and priorities, as required. Monitors their work for follow up on action items and deliverables;
Assesses the use of information systems and their specific functionality within FCM, and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of use, e.g., improvements in user training and support or the development of new or modified solutions. Recommends technical solutions necessary to meet FCM business needs/requirements with little supervision, including consultant questions and directions to FCM staff;
Work with FCM staff to improve business processes as requested;
Provides other technical support to team members as required.
