About MHI Canada Aerospace
MHI Canada Aerospace, a subsidiary of Japan-based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, assembles major airframe components such as wings and fuselage for Bombardier Aerospace, specifically for the Global Express and the Challenger 350, both high speed business jets.
Scope of Position
Responsible for Scheduling and coordinating flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production. Establish and review the master production schedule and support daily priorities for specific areas.
Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
Duties include reviewing and production schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates and solving problems.
Develop contingency plans for any orders tracking behind to production schedule.
Act as a liaison between departments.
Procurement - to ensure delivery dates and targets align to MPS
Review Itag disposition and ensure MPS is aligned to non-conformance disposition
Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies.
Effectively communicate with associates and internal and external customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectives
Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Manage daily KPI’s.
Create and deliver Aircraft scorecard – assigning root cause and corrective actions to cross functional teams
Lead and participate in cross functional teams to identify and drive efficiency gains throughout the manufacturing process
Education & OTHER Requirements
3- 5 years experience in Planning and scheduling.
Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives
Comprehensive working knowledge of the production functions within an organization.
Demonstrate ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Ability to lead cross functional teams
Ability to read and interpret documents such as master schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Key Measurements of the Position
Ability to accomplish duties required effectively and efficiently.
Keep the Production team up to date of situations that are causing deals.
Ability to deal with added day to day issues and concerns.
