Location Summary:
Smithers is a wonderful diverse community located in the Bulkley Valley beside impressive 8494 ft tall Hudson Bay Mountain. There are incredible recreational opportunities including world-class salmon and steelhead fishing, hunting, back-country and lift skiing, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, and more. The town has well established Elementary and High Schools, two ice rinks, wonderful pubs and restaurants, a regional airport with daily flights to Vancouver, and is considered a regional center. Situated on Highway 16 about halfway between Prince Rupert (the North Coast) and Prince George.
