As a Systems Administrator for our Calgary District office, you will contribute to our team by:
Being a first-level contact for technical support and problem resolution with hardware, software, and applications.
Resolving user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases.
Completing district jobsite setup and turndown, including remote support.
Creating and delivering technical training and other knowledge resources.
Administering and monitoring district office and construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation, and responding to issues.
Owning and tracking technology asset management.
Configuring mobility devices and providing support.
Performing conferencing installations, configuration and support.
Actively seeking out issues, problems and opportunities for new solutions.
Communicating to the district the ongoing status of Business Technology initiatives and changes to existing systems and solutions.
Must be able to lift and carry computer equipment up to 15lbs.
Carrying out other duties as required.
What you will bring to the role:
Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline.
5 years of progressive experience in a related field.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to think logically and analytically, and to constructively express ideas and concepts.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Windows Server Operating Systems.
Experience with Networking such as VPN, WiFi, Switching, Routing and Firewalls.
Dedicated to customer service excellence.
Prioritize numerous tasks and work under pressure.
Trust, teamwork and accountability are important to you.
Quick to learn and able to seek new challenges.
The Systems Administrator works mostly in an office environment. After hours work and support is sometimes required. Some travel may also be required. Personal transportation to travel to local job sites is necessary.
