This is a contract- Approx 1 year

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient setup and operation of the packaging production lines per plant production and/or plant operations standards. Adheres to company standards in key performance areas of Safety, Quality, and Cost & Delivery to the Customer. This position works in a team environment and is required to assist others as necessary, but must have demonstrated skills as a self-starter and be self-directed personnel in cases of vacation, illness, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with Work Centre Operators, Quality Assurance, Plant Management, Production Teams, and QA Technicians within Diversey.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of the packaging equipment through general mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
Operate Sleevers, Labelers, Carton Formers, and Sonic Welders,
Handles daily equipment inspections.
Performs setup duties as required to ensure equipment is prepared for production as per change over standards.
Monitor and troubleshoot equipment after setup and adjust as required to maximize efficiencies.
Setup assigned packaging equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures.
Cleans line equipment and change parts to meet Good Manufacturing Practices protocol.
Replenish equipment, and machines with required packaging supplies.
Perform quality checks and audits as per Standard Operating Procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of handling / storing / and disposing of all chemicals and components associated with your line.
Follow all LOTO procedures.
MSDS information is accessible, and information there in is understood.
Perform general housekeeping such as cleaning the body of machinery, windows, floors etc.
Follow all ISO9001, GMP, and EH&S policies and / or procedures.
Participates in continuous improvement activity using lean tools such as leading root cause investigations, kaizen events and poke yokes.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma. Previous work experience will be considered.
Strong mechanical knowledge gained through a minimum 1+ years production experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of chemicals and chemical handling procedures
Ability to work safely and efficiently
Collaborative with the ability to function in a team environment
Able to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Must have Basic computer skills (Google Platform, Email, Data Entry)
