We are seeking a System Administrator reporting to the IT Manager
Work from Home: Hybrid work from home
Start Date: Immediate
Wage: $75K - $85K (based on level of experience)

This role is based out of the Giampaolo Group’s office at 1 Kenview Blvd, Brampton, Ontario.
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing company operational systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance to support our business functions. Develop and maintain procedures and methods to support the IT infrastructure and ensure that IT standards and security controls are enforced and maintained. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Ensuring data backups are maintained for all corporate information systems
- Ensuring procedures, processes, and hardware are in place to address system recovery plans
- Enforcing full compliance on 3rd party software licensing
- Providing support for telecommunication systems
- Liaising with outside firms for system hardware, telecommunication and network consulting and procurement
- Performing preventative maintenance (operating system patches / updates), general repair, installation and troubleshooting of the following equipment: PCs, network, network devices, servers, printers, UPS equipment
- System capacity planning
- Regularly monitoring performance and reliability of network and servers
- Providing first and second-level helpdesk support
- Managing hardware & software assets, third-party services, and vendor relationships
- Developing and implementing setup/configuration and test procedures, equipment failure reporting, PM audit controls (i.e., virus scans, operating system updates, etc.) and related technical documentation/standards of the network, network devices, LAN, and PCs
- Maintaining up-to-date technical documentation/standards of the network, network devices, LANs, WAN, and PCs
- Maintaining and enforcing all related IT procedures and standards · Establishing and auditing appropriate technical systems controls and cyber security programs
- Providing on-call and after-hours support as required, which will involve some travel
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
- A college degree in a Computer Science program or equivalent
- 3-5 years of IT Network/System Administrator experience
- A Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional Enterprise Admin certification (“MCITP”) is a requirement for the role
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Extensive experience with networks and data communications, servers, system management activities, active directory, Microsoft O/S, exchange server, and desktop applications
- Experience in capacity planning and performance evaluation of systems
- Experience with successful implementations of systems
- Familiarity with relational database management systems
- Competent report writing skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with end-users
- Exceptional investigative skills with the ability to effectively problem solve
- Creative and innovative, you are an outside-of-the-box thinker
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Access to a vehicle as there is travel required within our other sites/branches in Ontario and the United States
- A valid Canadian passport as there may be travel required to the United States, Mexico, and other countries
