We are a team of experts with complementary skills and a combined experience of 40 years. We see our role in delivering education and knowledge as ‘ facilitators of innovation ’ and not simply as ‘teachers’. We are the facilitator of STEM Education.

Our Educational Robotics specialist and our Childhood Brain Development expert are based and operate from Canada, while our founder is a Computer Vision and Robotics engineer and Specialist with Research background. We are official mentor for UBC Robotics Club and many other institutes.

UK Robotix will primarily be working on two main models of delivering robotics education, online courses and expert-led workshops in schools.

STEM Facilitator Trainer for Surrey Location :
Robotics , Programming, 3D Printing, Drones & Humanoid.

Hours:
Monday to Friday: - 4PM to 6PM
Saturday 10AM to 6PM (Flexibility to choose hours), Hours may vary.

Rate: $16-$30 per hour

Who we want:

We are seeking a trainer who like to teach, motivate and mentor kids ages 5-18 depending on the age group of the programs. You'll need to deliver teaching materials to kids in an interesting and engaging manner. You also need to be a logical and out-of-the-box thinker who want to influence kids towards Science and Technology . We are the facilitator of STEM(Science , Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

It is preferable that the candidate is familiar with programs (LEGO Mindstorm EV3, VEX IQ, VEX EDR, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO WEDO, Little Bits, etc.)

Skills Required -

- > 3D Printing, Microbit, Arduino, Scratch Programming, Game development, Python, C , C++ , Java , Animation and other Robotics platforms with engineering background.

- > Bachelor/ Master in computer science, mechatronics, engineering and STEM expert preferred.

Your job will include the following:

  • Handling children and deliver classes as per course materials.
  • Setting up the classroom and materials
  • Using company provided powerpoint slides and materials to engage and maintain students' interest and attention
  • Clean-up and pack away classroom materials for transport back to storage
  • Provide feedback on courses content and materials

What is Required:

  • Goal oriented, self-driven and able to work independently
  • Have a passion in enriching themselves and the community
  • Love Science, Technology, Mathematics, and Programming
  • Enjoy problem solving and thinking outside the box
  • Enjoy working with children between Grade 4-8
  • Electronics, Sensors and Mechanical tools knowledge is required.
  • Drones, Humanoid, AVR, ARM, PIC, Arduino, Microbit, 8051 knowledge is Add-on.
  • Experience in LEGO EV3, Programming (C, Java or Python), Arduino
  • Must be able to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

Great to Have:

  • Good academic record in Math, Science and Programming
  • Previous experience in teaching or leading classes toward children
  • Have participated in robotics competition such as FIRST, LEGO, VEX
  • Valid G driver's license

NOTE: Applicant is required to volunteer for 3days (2hr class) as part of the application process.
