The IT Network Administrator will report into the IT Manager and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of our network infrastructure. This role will encompass projects, alongside responsibility for ensuring stable operations of the existing LAN and WLAN as well as interconnectivity of locations. The Network Administrator must be comfortable performing some day to day level 2 and 3 support as well as driving forward meaningful change through new and ongoing projects. The successful candidate must be willing to travel between our facilities, within the lower mainland and other sites as required, as part of the design and build phase of ongoing IT projects.

  • Design and deploy network infrastructure;
  • Manage and monitor network across facilities and cloud environment;
  • Use next-gen firewalls, SD-WAN, SSL VPN, IPSec Tunnels;
  • Manage IaaS in AWS, Azure, and GCS;
  • Design and conduct vulnerability tests for systems and network security;
  • Configure, install, and maintain L2/L3 network switches, firewalls, and access points;
  • Manage network performance and stability; aiming for constant improvement;
  • Join and manage IT projects and act as a technical lead for business projects;
  • Work with members of the IT team to develop and support business needs;
  • Assist with constant improvements to automation of IT and business systems;
  • Assist with mobile device management and automation;
  • Work with departments to leverage the network for IoT and other integrations;
  • Create procedures, topology documentation and training materials as required;
  • Resolve network disruptions in a timely manner;
  • Provide tier 2/3 support to IT systems, processes, and business applications; and
  • Assist with other IT duties as they arise.


  • Solid networking skills and demonstrated knowledge of each layer of the OSI model;
  • Familiar with identifying security incidents, intrusion detection, and threat analysis;
  • Knowledge of Cisco Meraki (firewall, switches, APs) cloud managed infrastructure;
  • Familiar with Zero-Trust methodology and design;
  • Familiar with SIEM such as Splunk and Sumo Logic; and
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

You Are TECHNICALLY SAVVY, capable of troubleshooting and analyzing technical issues and platforms.

You Are a CRITICAL THINKER, with a proactive mindset, solid organization and communication skills.

You Are ADAPTABLE, capable of managing multiple parallel activities and shifting priorities as the business requires.


  • 2-3 years’ minimum experience in a network administrator role;
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability for complex environments and ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel activities;
  • Design experience with on-prem and cloud network infrastructure;
  • Experience with supporting Windows and Apple environment; and
  • Experience with VoIP and QoS.
