BrightPath Kids is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Part Time Early Reading Teacher (RECE., OCT., or B.ED. preferred) for our BrightPath Matheson East, Matheson West and Eglinton Locations for the 2020 Winter Semester. Qualifications and Obligations

Will be responsible to work in both large and small groups with the classrooms aged 3-6. Class size not exceeding 8.
Introduce the basic reading vocabulary of English, building on comprehension and pronoucation.at the level of the children’s development.
Will be required to provide their own material they would like to use to teach with.
Will be required to constantly be working on new material to continue to assist with expanding their English literacy both written and oral.
Fluent in English.
Reading teaching experience.
Experience with children between the ages of 4-6.
Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents.
Demonstrate our philosophy - Develop the Mind. Nourish the Body. Inspire the Soul.
Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment.
The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Experience in planning and implementing programs.
Qualifications

To be Successful at BrightPath you Need:
Reading teachers are expected to create individual plans for each child that reinforce alphabet and sound recognition.
The reading class intends to teach children the basic concepts of literacy through small group instruction, movement, story telling, reading, fine motor and games.
Classes are to be conducted through structure and play.
An individual who reflects a strong work ethic.
Reliable, On time and responsible.
Understanding of second language needs for children 4-6 years of age.
Comfortable working with Preschool children (ages 4-6).
Ability to implement Reading program and a clear understanding of developmental needs for children 4-6 years of age.
A Passion for teaching reading and early childhood education.
An individual who reflects a strong work ethic.
Strong communication skills.
2+ years of teaching experience strongly preferred.
Relate and communicate positively with parents.
Dependability, timeliness, flexibility and adaptability are a must!
Be at least 18 years of age.
Up to date first aid including CPR Certificate.
Vulnerable sector check within the last 6 months.
Up to date immunization records.
Early Childhood Educator or Assistant certification is an asset.
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) Must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
Or be an Ontario Certified Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Other Equivalent Education Certification (B.ED.) recognized by Ministry of Education.
