The Testing Business Intelligence Leader defines the Testing strategy for the Business Intelligence Corporate team and systems. The Leader will determine the tools and techniques for delivering the Business Intelligence Testing strategy and champions the Business Intelligence testing team with innovative solutions to support the business community.
What you will be doing:
Ensure accuracy and completeness of BI system changes and enhancements by establishing test strategies with emphasis on mitigating risk and delivering according to plan
Manage BI testing including Functional testing, Data Validation, Regression testing, System integration testing, Automated testing and User acceptance testing
Identify, champion and develop opportunities for automated and re-useable testing process
Interface with business analysts, business stakeholders, IT, Data Architects and others to understand the business requirements
Analyze requirement specifications, technical system design documents, data models to build clear and detailed test plans, estimates and resource plans
Develop trending reports, data quality metrics and strategy for continuous monitoring of data quality
Develop benchmarks for testing data and provide metrics reporting
Assist the user community with troubleshooting and problem resolution for issues, ensure impact of issues/defects are understood, evaluated and communicated
Identify and escalate risk/issues to QA management and Project Management as required
Ensure technical documentation is produced for ease of transferring skills and knowledge
Recognize and work with QA Management to define areas of improvement, define change and process to implement Best Practices for testing
Coach and mentor BI QA team members in future development and growth
Foster collaboration between teams and within team members
Perform peer reviews quality checks as needed and requested
Coordinate project team activities and assist members in achieving objectives as necessary

What we are looking for:.
Post-Secondary education and/or equivalent job experience
Minimum 10 Years of Quality Assurance testing experience within P&C insurance industry
5+ years leading BI QA team
Minimum of 5 years experience in Data Warehouse
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS, Microstrategy Reporting Tools, DB SQL Server and DB2, and Webfocus Report Tool
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to coach and develop teams
Experienced with Onshore/Offshore delivery model and leading onshore and offshore team
Full understanding and compliance to SDLC and Agile methodologies
Expert knowledge of Data Warehouse, relational databases, SQL, designing advanced SQL statements and data models
Experience in Big Data, Data Lake
IFRS 9/IFRS 17 testing experience
Intermediate SAS experience
SAS IFRS tool experience
Expert knowledge and experience with Selenium, C#, Java, Jmeter, automation tools, test automation
Experience working in Cloud environments
Experience with Test Data Management, Test Data Creation and Data subset
Knowledge of QA applications, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and/or Hewlett Packard QTP
Knowledge of Infrastructure (servers, network, security) technologies
