As a Software Developer at Universe, you will apply your passion for technology and live events in your quest to build a world-class Event Ticketing platform. In this deeply technical and business-minded position, you'll evolve our front-end and back-end systems and level-up your own skill-set. You'll be challenged with the rewarding tasks of understanding our customers with strong empathy, curating an amazing product experience, and championing our vision to new heights.

What your day could look like:

  • Writing new React components with our GraphQL API, building new features, maintaining existing ones
  • Architecting new back-end data models and services
  • Testing your code with automation
  • Pair programming with junior and senior developers

What we're looking for:

  • Experience with at least three of the following (definitely not all!)
  • Patterns-based web servers like: Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, Django, Flask, Express, Phoenix, Spring
  • Scripting language like: Ruby, Python, Javascript
  • Client-side web application framework like: React, Ember, Angular, Backbone
  • Persistent data store like: PostgreSQL, Monogo, Redis, MySQL, SQL Server, Elasticsearch
  • You're a hacker at heart who lovingly crafts elegant solutions with pride
  • You are an independent, fast-learning, self-starter who takes ownership over solving hard problems
  • You're dedicated to leveling-up your skill-set
  • You're energetic, passionate, and driven
