We are seeking a Junior A&D Representative to join the Ames Tile & Stone team in Burnaby, BC, and help manage accounts in the Architecture and Design Community across Vancouver.

The role
As the Junior A&D Representative based in Burnaby, this role is accountable for developing relationships with the smaller design firms across Vancouver and supporting Senior Representatives with larger customers. Ames Tile & Stone is proud to have strong relationships with many of the best-known design firms in the Province but also puts great value on its relationships with smaller firms and independent designers. This role is designed to deepen those relationships and provide best-in-class expertise for this segment of the market.
You will build and develop relationships with designers in the region providing them product expertise, advice, and customer service. Working closely with the General Manager, the Director of Architecture & Design, and the rest of the branch, this person will become the hub of knowledge regarding smaller projects being managed by the business. The business is ambitious to not only grow market share but to own the market for mid-premium level tile and stone products in the Lower Mainland. It is envisioned that this role would progress with experience to working with larger accounts, supporting larger projects, and potentially growing into either a Senior A&D role or an internal leadership role within the business depending on your skills and ambitions.
The person
You may already be in an A&D Sales role for a smaller player in the market and be looking to work with an industry leader. Or perhaps you are working as an interior designer or within a design firm and may be looking to use these skills in a different environment. Or perhaps you have always dreamed of breaking into the design world, have a passion for interior design, and have the skills and personality to transition into this role. We are open-minded.
However, whatever your background you must be pro-active, able to think outside the box, have a passion for design, have an outgoing and sociable personality, and be driven to make things happen and drive the business forward.
