About the position

• You will be responsible for coordinating all logistics and transportation of goods to and from our various locations, suppliers and customers;
• Negotiate freight rates on a needed basis with carriers, brokers and freight forwarders;
• Manage the necessary documentation and forms of all import/export activities;
• Anticipate research and report on future changes in import/export laws and in relevant local territory practices, and ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department’s own strategy, resources and procedures;
• Liaise with other departments and partners in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export/import activities mainly materials production and overall operating functions;
• Participate in the development and implementation of import/export compliance processes and procedures;
• As part of our ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, you will be involved in developing and implementing process improvements, developing new tools and helping manage and contain export costs as we continue to expand on a global basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a College degree;
• 1-3 years of logistics coordination experience;
• Good knowledge of Freight booking / HS code & MS Office suite;
• Bilingual (French & English); Multilingual a plus (Mandarin, Italian);
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment facing constant changing priorities;
• Good communication and customer relations skills.
