Role Summary

Oneworld Accuracy Inc is looking for a System Administrator to expand our IT Infrastructure Team. This role will offer you the opportunity to apply your existing experience and skillset plus develop skills with our DevOps tool chain. We are looking for an individual with experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure in our on premise and cloud environments.

As the System Administrator at Oneworld Accuracy Inc, you will be taking an important role in maintaining and improving our network and services. You will support all parts of the organization including development, operations, and the executive. The intention is that this position will be trained in many technologies related to the DevOps tool chain used by the organization.

As a member of the IOPS team, you will report to the CTO. Your location of work is remote and Vancouver, BC. This is a fulltime position with occasional out-of-hours work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the operations of all IT network infrastructure
  • Participate in the design of new IT systems
  • Core networking
  • Internet access
  • Firewall and security
  • Load balancing
  • Monitor system health checks and perform regular diagnostics of system status
  • Execute system maintenance including patching processes
  • Handle change requests for all service provisioning
  • Trouble ticket resolution including root cause analysis of issues
  • Work with Software Engineering on system design including scaling, reliability, and maintenance issues
  • Maintain vendor relationship for all third-party IT services


  • Experience with Mikrotik, Juniper, Cisco or similar routers/switches and configuration
  • Experience managing network topologies using VLANs, application layer firewalls, and VPNs
  • Some experience deploying and maintaining Windows based systems
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in IT or equivalent training
  • Scripting and automation based on any of Bash, Perl, Python, or Powershell
  • Experience with Active Directory or LDAP based directory services
  • Experience with virtualization technology
  • Experience with network monitoring solutions such as Nagios or Zabbix
  • Some experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP
  • Some experience with deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Some experience with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes
