Provide technical assistance/support to staff/clients for products supplied to the traffic industry. Assume responsibility for the technical evaluation/promotion of new technologies enabling working solutions for products/services promoted by the company.


Compile engineering envelopes for the shop floor containing wiring schematics; hook up instructions, layout drawings including installation of customer supplied product in compliance to industry standards.
Design / modify drawings (electrical & mechanical) using either AutoCAD or solid works.
Assist customers and staff with technical support and trouble shooting
Provide remote and on-site assistance to clients for intersection related start ups, configuration and commissioning
Assist with pre-sale equipment configuration support to manufacturing and sales staff
Document activities and follow-up efforts in electronic format
Take leading roll to evaluate new software, hardware and newly introduced products
Provide training to customers and staff in support of products and projects
Attend industry related trade shows to promote products and industry leading engineering support
Acquire knowledge to support legacy products from existing technical staff
Establish a well organized architecture of all technical documentation, test lab, tools and related equipment to ensure timely, accurate support
Attend training to develop and maintain relevant knowledge and skills
Promote and maintain safe working habits in all environments


University Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Systems Engineering with 3+ years experience

Must possess valid driver’s license and passport and be capable of travel to United States.


Good communication skills – Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences

Superior ability to read and interpret general business journals, technical procedures, operating/maintenance instructions. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively speak with customers, the general public and employees of the organization
Good organizational skills
Strong sense of customer service
Ability to work effectively without supervision
Computer literate – Must be proficient with Windows, working knowledge of CAD/Visio and drawing programs is an asset
Networking experience, wired and wireless is an asset
Ability to understand wiring drawings, blue prints and schematics, as well as ability to use tools, meters, and related diagnostic equipment
Graduate of post-secondary electronics/electrical/systems or technologist program, experience in traffic industry and/or automated control systems is an asset
Reasoning ability – Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with people involving several variables.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 /year
