You’re a dexterous world-class designer who’s passionate about how ideas come to life through design and engineering, and more importantly, a thoughtful and inclusive collaborator who can bring folks along the journey in striving for product excellence and design excellence. You have experience quickly pulling together strong UI/UX designs or even building some dynamic prototypes yourself to get your ideas across to others. You’re able to tell the story and thinking behind your ideas: the why, what, how, when, and where. A day in the life
Design polished UI/UX designs and experiences
Think through complex problem spaces and drive clarity in ambiguous spaces
Articulate your designs through interactive prototypes (or even bring them to life through some lightweight code)
Stay up to date on the latest design conventions and practices to bring a suitable look & feel to your designs
Collaborate with other designers and engineers to bring your designs to life through prototypes and design tools
Offer constructive feedback followed by creative and effective solutions
Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders

Qualifications (TBD based on role)
6+ years’ experience of Product design with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with online services, OR equivalent professional experience in interactive design and/or visual design uniquely qualifying you for this role
3+ years of design leadership/management experience with proven ability to lead, inspire, collaborate, and nurture teams and partnerships
Passion for design and ability to effectively share your point of view and expertise with project team members, and see a project through to the finish
Strong command of all aspects and levels of interaction/UX design from information architecture, to systems and workflows to micro-interactions
Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills
Ability to create / prototype design stories that articulate the desired user experience to the project team and stakeholders
User-centric approach to design and an understanding of how to apply user research data
Active thought leadership in user experience issues and trends
Highly proficient with design software, such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite software
A working understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end coding is essential. Front-end development skills or experience with modern JS frameworks (i.e. Typescript) would be a plus but is not required
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to provide redlines and design specs
A portfolio is required (i.e. a slide deck, website, Behance, or Dribbble)
Desirable skills & experience:
Passion for invention, human-computer interaction, and seamless user experiences
Strong interest and understanding in regards to enabling User Research through prototyping.
Experience educating, partnering, and influencing product teams
The ability to wear multiple hats and contribute across disciplines
A history of designing delightful interactive experiences
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of designers and developers
Self-motivated and comfortable with the ambiguities inherent in incubation work
Ability to scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize tasks and goals independently
Strong brainstorming skills, from participation to leadership
A strong interest in design, technology, and trends, with an eye toward the future
