Carter Honda is currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to process vehicle sales and purchases. We are an established Automotive Group that offers a great working environment and hands on personalized job training.

Title: Accounting Assistant/Deals Clerk

Duties & Responsibilities

- Enter deals and post commissions

- Process loan payouts

- Ensure validity, integrity and accuracy of deal processing on a timely basis

- Manage vehicle inventory and floor plan reconciliation

- Track, post and reconcile financial institution payments

- Post Honda invoices and Honda Warranty

- Assist with GL and schedule reconciliations

- Contribute in month end closing process

- Support and back up other Accounting functions as needed


- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting

- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy

- Some knowledge of local, provincial and federal laws regarding accounting and taxation

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities

- Ability to work effectively with others, prioritize and multi-task

- 1 – 2 years automotive accounting experience

- Punctual and dependable

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $19.00 per hour
