About the Job
Travels sufficiently throughout the territory to provide sales & marketing leadership to internal and external resources in support of fiscal objectives and long-term relationship building.
Undertakes and updates an effective scan of competitive (and other externalities) activities as to market development (price, product development, positioning, and dealer focus).
Reports all significant activity within areas of responsibility on a timely basis, and no less often than in a monthly report due within 2 days of month-end.
Provides primary input to the annual budget and weekly forecast process based on intimate knowledge of opportunities and sales activities.
Analyzes daily, monthly, and annual performance in detail to establish a very strong understanding of the business situation and to establish short and medium term tactics.
Educational background & experience:
University degree preferably in a technical or business discipline (MBA preferred).
10 years experience in progressively more senior Sales & Marketing positions in Business to Business environments.
5 years of experience in an industrial or commercial environment where products are brought to market both directly and through distribution networks.
5 years in a Sales and/or Marketing management role with demonstrated experience building and maintaining constructive, cooperative relationships at all levels of the customer enterprise.
Demonstrated success over an extended period of time in developing and executing Sales and Marketing strategies.
Demonstrated experience forming, managing and mentoring teams.
Resourceful and resilient, possessing a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, loyalty, and a strong commitment to achievement and client satisfaction.
Superior oral and written communications skills, including the ability to make effective technical and business presentations.
Able to think in broad terms, innovative and creative with the ability to devise and share best practices.
