Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support IV is responsible for performing all secretarial duties for the Cancer Services Pharmacy Director and other pharmacy team members such as typing memos/letters, filing, record keeping, telephone handling, coordinate meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, update and maintain spreadsheets, travel bookings, room bookings, scanning, invoice request, iExpense reports, ePeople Time Approver, maintain email distribution lists, etc. This position requires independent and original judgment in performing frequently complex and undefined tasks particularly in the provincial scope of the department.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma. Secretarial certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience with typing skills of 50-60 WPM. Must be able to use various computer software packages (MS Office), set up and use spreadsheets (including graphing of data), operate a facsimile machine and photocopier. Must have a minimum two (2) years secretarial experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must have good organizational skills. Able to work cooperatively with others. Dependable. Accurate. Pleasant attitude towards public. Excellent interpersonal skills. Speak and write English fluently. Have the ability to distinguish between routine functions and those requiring professional judgment. Must be able to work with and stay focused despite numerous interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Course in Medical/Pharmaceutical Terminology an asset. Typing memos/letters. Organize and coordinate meeting agendas. Record meeting minutes. Update and maintain spreadsheets/charts. Travel Booking.
